COMEL

IVI successfully secured funding from the Kedah State Government for the community project, COMEL: Integrating English through Computational Thinking across STEM for a period of three years (from 01/09/2015 to 31/08/2018) to four (4) schools in Kedah as follows:

a) Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Pegawai, Alor Setar;

b) Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Gunong, Alor Setar;

c) Sekolah Kebangsaan Tunku Abdul Halim, Alor Setar;

d) Sekolah Kebangsaan Mergong, Alor Setar.

In this community project, IVI fellows collaborate with lecturers from the Faculty of Education and Pusat Citra UKM, have derived a new English language teaching approach integrating with ICT and problem-solving skills to deliver lessons across STEM for Year 4-5 students. Specific themes based on school syllabus are incorporated in the teaching sessions.
