MOBILE APPS ISLAMIC TOURISM: Mobile application development, traveler’s behaviors, Islamic features.

The mobile app is being developed to facilitate travellers plan their vacations by providing them the best itinerary with a consistent set of recommendations based on traveller behaviour in Malaysia.

 INTRODUCTION OF RESEARCH

 Even though overall the mobile evolution has contributed to enhancing the travel factor at large, only little is known about how it has affected the on the go travel experience especially in Islamic tourism industry. This lack of intelligence is critical because gaining deeper knowledge in the field of how travelers are using travel-related applications during their trip could provide meaningful insights to fill untapped opportunities for tourism companies and solve problems of travelers having insufficient access to resources enhancing their travel experience.  A lot of improvements should be considered in Islamic tourism apps features like the five stages of travel: dreaming, planning, booking, experiencing and sharing.

PROJECT GOAL

  • To develop mobile application focus on Islamic tourism industry that can fulfilled needs of travelers during their journey and present suggestions for their itinerary in Malaysia.
  • To analyze how travelers are using mobile applications during their trip, and what are their needs.
  • To examines the expectations of travelers towards mobile developers and the collaborative input of business representatives of the travel and technology industry responding to this input.

PROBLEM STATEMENT AND CONTRIBUTION

  • Lack of Islamic tourism information in Malaysia.
  • Lack of intelligence Islamic mobile application for travelers to plan their trips. A lot of improvements should be considered in Islamic tourism apps features like the five stages of travel: dreaming, planning, booking, experiencing and sharing.
  • Even though overall the mobile evolution has contributed to enhancing the travel factor at large, only little is known about how it has affected the on the go travel experience especially in Islamic tourism industry. So it will help tourism industry in economy and at the same time will give a good impact on business reputation to them.
